Mr. Shakeel Puri’s unwavering dedication to aiding his patients shines brightly through his more than 25 years of experience in the field of Eye Care. His journey began with rigorous Optometric and Ophthalmic training in the West Midlands, a foundation that has propelled him to practice at various tiers within the industry. From esteemed institutions like Wolverhampton and Sunderland Eye hospitals to renowned optometry clinics such as Boots, Vision Express, Specsavers, and Dolland and Aitchison, Mr. Puri has left an indelible mark.

 
Beyond providing an extensive array of general Ophthalmic Services, Mr. Puri’s passion lies in addressing Retinal Diseases and extending specialized assistance to diabetic patients. His expertise is underpinned by advanced training in these domains. He also extends his care to patients with Dry and Wet Macular Degeneration, as well as those in need of screening and management for Glaucoma and Retinal Vascular Disorders.
 
Mr. Shakeel Puri’s commitment extends further to the realm of childhood visual challenges. He has taken a profound interest in aiding children with Visual Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, a spectrum of Headaches, and reading impediments. Through his interventions, he’s played a pivotal role in positively shaping the educational journey of numerous children, many of them are now successful professionals. 
 
His thirst for knowledge and commitment to staying at the cutting edge are evident through his participation in national and international conferences. This is coupled with an unyielding enthusiasm for embracing state-of-the-art equipment within his practice. In situations requiring urgent attention, Mr. Puri’s advanced training in Emergency Eye Care (Minor Eye Condition Service) comes to the fore. From injuries to infections, sudden visual loss to discomfort, his expertise encompasses a range of unexpected eye concerns. Whether it’s Red Eye or eyelid issues, Dryness, irritation, inflammation, or a sensation of foreign bodies, Mr. Puri is adept at handling these issues. He’s also well-equipped to manage cases of flashes, floaters, and painful eyes, as well as conditions like in-growing eyelashes and sudden reductions in vision.
 
As a contributing member of the local optical society, Mr. Puri’s influence extends beyond his practice. He’s been instrumental in advising the NHS Primary Care Trust (PCT), lending his insights to the creation of guidelines and Clinical Governance for Optometric practices.
