What is Myopia?
Myopia, also called near or short sightedness, is a refractive defect caused by the eyeball being too long, or the cornea too steep.
This leads to images being focused in front of the retina, so that whilst sufferers can see nearby objects clearly, distant objects appear blurred.
What can we do?
Mr Puri says:
“Myopia can be correctedby using negative or concave lenses, in glasses or contact lenses. It is a common complaint, and once diagnosed, we can discuss the many options open to you.”
